The strongest documented Selank cycle length is 14 days for the intranasal Russian product. The current Russian medical-use instructions list a 14-day course and say it may be repeated after 1-3 weeks when needed and after consultation with a doctor.

Human research also includes 14-day courses and a study extension that continued Selank through day 21. That makes 14 days the clearest labeled anchor, while 21 days is better described as a studied extension rather than a universal cycle length.

Selank cycle claims are easier to understand when the source and study design stay attached to the duration. The table below separates the current Russian instructions from published human studies.

Fourteen days appears in both the current Russian instructions and multiple clinical papers. That gives it a stronger evidence base than cycle lengths that come mainly from peptide communities, clinics, or research-vial sellers.

A 21-day Selank period does appear in human research, but the context matters. In a 2015 study of 70 patients with anxiety disorders, both treatment groups were treated for 14 days. Twenty patients from the group receiving Selank plus phenazepam then continued Selank for another 7 days, bringing Selank exposure to day 21.

That study supports saying that Selank has been studied through 21 days in humans. It does not establish 21 days as the standard course for every setting, route, or research goal.

The current Russian instructions give the clearest source for repeat timing: after a 14-day course, treatment may be repeated after 1-3 weeks when needed and after consultation with a doctor. The instructions do not say that the break is required to reset receptors or prevent tolerance.

There is no single validated 'peptide cycle' that applies to every Selank format. What is documented is a finite 14-day intranasal course in the Russian instructions, with a possible repeat after 1-3 weeks. Published studies also used defined treatment periods rather than open-ended continuous administration.

That is different from saying every research setting must use the same on-and-off pattern. A universal long-term cycle has not been established, and route changes should not be treated as simple substitutions.

The evidence is not balanced between routes. Intranasal Selank has Russian medical-use instructions and human clinical studies. Subcutaneous Selank is discussed in research communities and clinic-style protocols, but the sources reviewed for this page did not identify a validated human injectable cycle.

A 2014 comparative study reported that Selank's measured anxiolytic effect remained for at least one week after the last administration. This is useful cycle evidence because the researchers continued to observe patients after the 14-day treatment period.

It should not be turned into a promise that effects always last one week, or that every person will have a post-cycle effect. The study involved a defined patient group and a specific clinical protocol.

U.S. regulatory context is also different from Russia. Selank is not an FDA-approved human drug in the United States, and the FDA currently lists selank acetate among bulk substances for which it has identified compounding-related safety concerns and limited safety information.
